Everything we do before and at your wedding is either to make the day run smoothly, or to tell your story in the best way possible. We genuinely get excited when someone approaches us and says, "I don't really like posed photos", or, "It's not your usual wedding". You see, we don't have a usual set of photos either; our portfolio above features a few traditional wedding photos, just to show we include formal-ish photos in the package - if you want them. The rest of them though, are more like it! If you're planning to arrive by boat, fire cannons, or there's a slight chance your best man will try and fail to jump over a pond, then please just email us right now.
Below we've tried to put together all the wedding photography information people usually ask for. It's a pretty big decision you're making, so we want to be able to answer every question you have. However, some people have no questions, as this is all very new to them. If that's you, hopefully by the time you get to the bottom of this page you'll know a lot more about what us photographers get up to on a wedding day - and for the weeks after!
Although our photography studio is in Hull, East Yorkshire, we happily travel with our photobooth all over the country and on occasion, out of the country. Our favourite venues are Tipis, barns, woods, farms; anywhere that allows you to put your personal touch on the day!
Super friendly and unobtrusive photographers. They blended in as if they were one of the guests themselves
Great people producing outstanding pictures - both formal and informal - which was everything we could have asked for and more
We had so much fun both on our engagement shoot and at our wedding and this was due to Tom and Ant's professionalism and fab personalities
Thanks for our amazing wedding photos - so many smiles. Exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended!
Extremely personable, approachable. You really put us at ease. Plus the photos are stunning!
So glad we had these guys photograph our wedding! So professional yet we felt like they were our guests, so easy going, friendly and fun
The perfect opportunity to get to know each other, and get some photos before the wedding.
We'll meet up & discuss your running order and group photos, ensuring your day runs smoothly.
A photographer each for your preparations, then we work together to make your day run smoothly.
From preparations until 9:30pm, we'll tell each part of the story of your day.
Included in the package so your guests can leave their own lovely or horrendous photos.
Your full collection of wedding photos set to your own choice of music on either Bluray or DVD.
A password protected gallery gives family & friends a hassle free way to order their own photos from your collection.
You always hear the story of that person who waited six months for their photos. Not something we think is acceptable!
As you've probably gathered by now, we make sure we include everything needed to tell the story of your day. Remove any one part of our wedding coverage and we don't feel the end result would be as well crafted. It's all in there to make your day run smoothly, and your album look its best! Speaking of which, wedding albums, framed prints, and other products are all decided on after you've seen your photos; we don't see the point in making you decide these things before we've even taken a single photo!
The cost of the above package is £1400. The deposit is £200, with the remainder of £1200 payable six weeks before your wedding day. If your wedding is local to us in Hull, Yorkshire, that includes all travel. If your big day is taking place outside our usual area of coverage, we really are more than happy to travel. We will let you know our travel and, if needed, accommodation costs before booking, and the coverage will stay the same whether your wedding is in Yorkshire or half way round the world.
After your wedding, there is a choice of wedding albums starting from £350 or digital copies you can print yourselves from £150. We also offer a full selection of prints, canvases, acrylics, metal, and framed prints in any size you would like.
If you would like to find out more, the best idea is to email email@example.com with any questions, and if you include your chosen wedding date, we can check availability. If we are available, we would love to invite you in to the studio in Hull for a coffee and look at some wedding albums.
We're more than happy to shoot a wedding anywhere in the country, or indeed world. Our package and coverage remains the same, and we will just add our travel and accomodation costs as nessesary.
There are photos in our portfolio from France, Wales, Somerset, The Lake District, Oxford, Morcambe, Sheffield, to give you an idea. We end up travelling all over thanks to our lovely couples!
Digital copies are available on USB with full personal usage rights. There are two choices for you.
The Small Prints USB is £150 and contains your final selection of ~200 wedding photos, plus photos from the photobooth - perfect to have printed and slip in to thank you cards. These can be printed up to 7x5" and are 1200x800 pixels.
The Large Prints USB is £500 and contains the same selection of photos as above, but are our original files. So you can print whatever we can with them. This option is popular with people looking to make their own wedding albums, or who have lots of family abroad, and posting huge frames and canvases to them just doesn't make sense - much easier to send them the files, so they can order locally. Don't forget, we supply a full range of print products, so don't feel you have to buy this to make one large print!
Albums are not included in the price of the coverage. Over the years, we've found not everyone wants an album, so making it part of the package doesn't seem the right thing to do. We also firmly believe that you shouldn't have to choose what you'd like to do with your photos before we've even taken them!
Full details of our albums starting from £350 can be found here
Very few people are! We've had some people, who are absolute naturals infront of the camera. A few, in many years!
Most people's dreaded part of the day is their official portraits (or the speeches, but we can't help with that). However if you ask our couples, this part of the day is usually far more enjoyable than expected.
Our posing is minimal. We're not looking for millimeter placement of your hands etc. We'd much rather capture a pose that's 99% there, but is quick and feels natural to you. The best pose in the world will look rubbish if you are bored out of your minds!
Also, think about it this way. The first time you will see each other on the day is at the ceremony, not the best time to have a chat. You'll then be mobbed by well wishers afterwards and perhaps go straight in to group photos, depending on your running order. Your portraits are likely to be the first time you'll get a quiet moment to take it all in and chat between you - admittedly with us pointing cameras at you - but the point is, it won't be as bad as you think. Worry about your first dance instead!
Unfortunately we can't. We can only do so many weddings a year, so whilst we don't force you to have either of these items, we can't offer a discount. The engagement shoot is a great way to get that first bit of awkwardness out of the way before your big day though! You also get a lovely set of portraits to enjoy before your wedding. Check out our 5 Tips for your Engagement Shoot blog post.
Any time before your wedding. If you're thinking of using the photos for stationary, give us a couple of weeks to turn them round and order any products etc.
As for location, anywhere in the local area that has a bit of shade and some shelter, just in case the English weather finds us. The Humber Bridge Country Park is a perfect example. There's hundreds of different places for any kind of sun/weather combo. Check out our 5 Tips for your Engagement Shoot blog post.
We provide chalk and chalkboards, but you are more than welcome to provide additional props to suit your wedding. Just be aware that the more props you have, the fewer messages people will write!
Sorry no, the photobooth is packed up when we leave. But we won't pack it up if people are still queuing to have a go, we're not mean! By the time we pack up everyone who wants a go will have had one. We also make sure to ask the DJ/Band to announce that the photobooth is going half an hour before, just to make sure!
Yes, please. We're going to be on our feet for the whole day, and our only break is when you sit down to eat. We don't have time to leave your wedding and find food else where, as there are speeches to photograph and a photobooth to set up! We will sit elsewhere to eat though, nothing like a photographer at your guests' table to make them feel like they're being watched!
We aim to have your photos ready in about three weeks. Enough time for you to enjoy your honeymoon and relax a bit after all the time and effort you've put in to the day!
We'll then ask you for some songs for your slideshow. Once everything is ready, it's time for you to come in to the studio and relive the memories!
After watching the slideshow, you'll have as much time as you need to work on your album design and thank you cards if you'd like. Then we leave it up to you to decide at home which products you'd like to go for.
No, we're pretty flat out just taking the photos! We're happy to work alongside most videographers though. However, we've had some "interesting" experiences over the years so make sure you choose someone who isn't going to intrude on your day.
We work pretty hard to stay in the background at your wedding, and that's all for nothing if the videographers yell at your guests!
We're happy to recommend some, so just ask!
Most of those in the area, and a lot out of the region/country. Below is a list of our favourites - in alphabetical order, no favouritism here!
