Boutipi Wedding: Woodland Paths & Haybales by the Pond

We were looking forward to Katy & Kristian’s wedding from the moment we met them. A lovely, laid back couple – we couldn’t wait to see what they had in mind for their big day! Katy & Kristian’s journey began back in 2012, when they met at a friend’s birthday party. Sometime later, down at St. Ives Harbour, Kristian popped the question during a gorgeous sunset. Of course, Katy said yes, and the wedding preparations began!

Looking to make their wedding a relaxed occasion, Katy & Kristian hired a secluded field. The spot was a truly hidden gem, completely invisible from the road, a welcome retreat after the months of planning! Guests arrived through a magical pathway, opening out into a clearing overlooking fields, ponds, and the fabulous tipis supplied by Boutipi. It all felt rather cosy and intimate. And, if that wasn’t charming enough, the autumn leaves provided a stunning backdrop for their photos!

There were many highlights of the day, the morning was spent popping champagne and feeding Katy’s rabbits, and the afternoon photographing the lovely guests soaking up some sun on the haybales. The catering was amazing too, with 2Chefs providing a delicious buffet style roast beef, then Katy & Kristian subjected the local pizza shop to surely their largest ever order, helping to keep the guests on the dancefloor well in to the night. We even managed to lead the rather brave bridal party into the woods, down the stepping stone pathway for some rather magical photos. And to top it all off, we succeeded in getting some dashing shots of the Father of the Bride, despite his avoidance of the camera!

Anyway – have some photos!
